Thursday, January 7

8:00–11:00 PM Wedding Kickoff ~ Playa Rosa

Elevated beach wear — breezy linens, silks, crochet. Sandals encouraged.

Friday, January 8

5:30–10:00 PM Welcome Party & Sangeet ~ Casa La Huerta

Sangeet — from the Sanskrit for “sung together” — is a South Asian tradition of music and dance performed by wedding guests. We’ll be inviting groups to perform by October. If you’d like to take the stage, please reach out!

Sophisticated cocktail — polished resort dressing in warm neutrals, olive, tobacco, espresso, oxblood. Silks, linen, sculptural silhouettes and beautiful texture.

Saturday, January 9

4:00–10:30 PM Ceremony & Reception ~ Sol De Oriente
10:30 PM–1:30 AM After Party ~ Lilo Beach Club

Formal, colorful & festive — dress like a Salvador Dalí painting. Long dresses, elegant sets, suits, elevated Indian attire. Embroidery, pattern, and rich colors encouraged.

Accommodation

Lodging is limited in the area, so we have pre-reserved accommodations at subsidized rates for our guests.

Enter your party’s phone number to see your pre-reserved options.

When you RSVP, you can opt into your pre-reserved lodging. If you have a backup option listed, you may end up there depending on how RSVPs shake out. +1 can’t come? You can request to be paired with a roommate. After RSVPs close on October 15, you’ll receive an email with payment details to secure your room.

Getting to Careyes

Please fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) — not Manzanillo. We recommend booking flights that arrive before ~7 PM.

Careyes is a beautiful 2.5-hour drive south from Puerto Vallarta. The route passes through jungle, tropical dry forest, developing villages, and national park. Please be aware there is a 90-minute stretch with no cell service and sparse population — it’s scenic but remote, and the road has some potholes.

Airport Transfers

We will have shuttles running between Puerto Vallarta Airport and Careyes for arrivals and departures. We’ll request flight arrival times for those who RSVP ‘yes’ to ensure adequate shuttle coverage.

If you plan to arrive earlier than Thursday, the concierge for your accommodations will provide airport transfer information.

Renting a Car

Renting a car is also an option if you prefer the flexibility. A few things to keep in mind:

We recommend purchasing tire insurance and roadside assistance
We do not advise driving at night due to the 90-minute stretch with no cell service
Careyes is a gated community with heavy security — we will send a survey to register your vehicle for entry

Getting Around Careyes

The community itself is relatively walkable. We will also have shuttles for main events, plus 2–4 private drivers available as an Uber-style service for our guests throughout the trip. Note that Uber and taxis are not available in this region.

About Our Celebration

This celebration in Careyes is intended as an adults-only, friends gathering, with the exception of immediate family. We understand this isn't always possible — if childcare is what stands between you and Careyes, please reach out to us directly.

Our extended family ceremony will take place separately in a smaller, intimate setting in California.
